The news is that the Royal Enfield Bullet is expected to be launched with ABS this month and the price will be increased by Rs. 10000 than the standard model. As per the reports the new Royal Enfield bullet with ABS is all set to launch in the month of April. It is also said that the Thunderbird series will also feature the safety equipment and ABS.
The adventurous bike is however already on sale in the foreign markets with a double channel unit. In India, however, the manufacturer will probably employ its products with a single channel unit. This states that only one of the wheels will have ABS, not both- this is done considering the cost factor too. While, the dual-channel ABS in comparison offers more safety as it features safety net on both wheels.
Both of the variants of the Bullet – Bullet 350 and 500 are possibly to receive an ABS. Indian Government is making ABS mandatory for the new two-wheelers with an engine displacement of 125cc and above from April 2018. Owing to this reason, the manufacturers will be launching the new bikes with ABS mandatorily. The new and forthcoming Royal Enfield Bullet ABS variant will demand at least Rs 10,000 premium than the standard model.
Presently, while the Bullet 350 is at sale in India and available at a price of Rs 1.15 lakh, the Bullet 500 bike at Rs 1.68 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). More details to be revealed in the coming days so stay tuned with us!
